PyStar Philly and Design Day August 13

We’re thrilled to host a gathering for PyStar Philly, a group aiming to teach Python programming to women and their friends. Python is a robust open source programming language that can be used to integrate systems (I know that doesn’t say much, but if you want to find out more, please register for the event!) PyStar Philly will have their next training session August 13th from 9:30 to 4:30, you can register for free here.
We’ve also scheduled our first Design Day from 10-4 on that Saturday, and we’ll be brainstorming ideas for kits, posters, or other informative and fun stuff we could sell in a store for The Hacktory to generate revenue to hold more awesome public events and subsidize some of our classes. If you’re interested in Design Day please stop by any time and share your ideas. We’ll also have some soft circuit materials (like those above) to play with (for doing craft/electronic mashups). Hope to see you there!
