Friday Social Events

This is a fun informal gathering for adult members of The Hacktory. Next one is Lego Night on August 26. Adult beverages will be available.

Intro to 2D Design Programs

Learn the basics of a few widely available design programs, as well as what tools at The Hacktory you can use with them. Next session is Tuesday August 30, 6:30-8 pm.

Saturday Morning Soldering

Stop by any Saturday morning and learn to solder! We have a variety of fun projects that take 1-2 hours. All ages are welcome, though makers 12 and under should be accompanied by a grown up partner to work with them.

Intro to Arduino Sept 13, 20, 27

A fun crash course to get you up and running with the popular microcontroller the Arduino. The next 3-session course starts September 13.

3D Printing

Members get full access to our 3D printers. The Ultimaker is a fine open-source machine for high quality output. We also have a Makerbot Replicator 2 and a smaller-scale Printrbot for additional capacity. Both are great options to get started learning about how to use and troubleshoot 3D printers. Electronics Tools

We have several temperature-controlled soldering irons, an oscilloscope, bench power supply, hot air rework station, lots of de-soldering equipment, shrink-wrap tubing, multimeters, and more. Members can access to as a wide selection of components to supplement their project supplies.

Sewing and Fabrication Tools

We have a workhorse Singer 241 industrial sewing machine, regular sewing machines, a drill press, scroll saw, jeweler’s bench, Zing Craft Cutter and much more.
