The Hacktory heads to The Next HOPE

Thousand of hackers are heading to New York City this Fri/Sat/Sun (July 16-18) for The Next HOPE (Hackers On Planet Earth) – the largest hacker gathering on the east coast and a biennial tradition since 1994.

Over 100 speakers in four tracks over three days will present a plethora of interesting topics to the curious, and dozens of demos, exhibits, projects, and workshops will guarantee a good time for all.

The Hacktory will host a table in the Hackerspace Village, where other hackerspaces from around the world will demo their work and share ideas about their projects. Artist Wil Lindsay will present his homebrew electronic visual art, and kinetic sculptor Brad Litwin will demo his amazing interactive creations.

Friday night Wil Lindsay and Don Miller will dazzle a chiptunes concert audience with their mesmerizing visuals, while Cheap Dinosaurs and Animalstyle will perform awesome music with modified electronic games and instruments.

The Next HOPE is something that can’t be adequately described and must be experienced. Most HOPE attendees are repeat comers, and prepare two years for The Next HOPE. Stop by and meet The Hacktory staff, and enjoy what promises to be a very memorable, educational, and fun event.
