A group of makers are busy building an open source laser cutter. Within a year they hope to “provide a cheap, safe, and highly-capable machine that will increase the proliferation of laser cutters and make a significant contribution to the personal fabrication movement.” They just reached the major milestone of getting the lasersaur to cut!
