Studio tour of Draft works April 5

There’s still slots available for our tour of Draft Works Studio on April 5 from 6 – 8 pm. Draft works is a custom fabrication studio that has done interesting work around town. If you happened to stroll by the lawn outside the American Philosophical Society last spring, you may have seen a giant white structure that resembled a whale skeleton with planter boxes on it. That structure was fabricated by draft works (read more about the project on the APS website). During our tour, founder Mike Avery will showcase some recent fabrication projects. We will also take a look at some of the larger fabrication tools, such as the CNC router and the software it uses. A brief Q & A session will follow.

The studio is located on the 200 block of New Street, directly north of the  Ben Franklin Bridge, South of Vine. Street parking is available.

Space is limited so please rsvp here.
