Hey if you missed that demo of Drexel’s robots a few weeks ago, mark your calendars for March 24. This event is happening at NextFab Studio, 3711 Market Street, here’s more of a description:
USMART Team from the UPenn Grasp Robotics Lab will present an overview of some of their robotics work and how they use the Robot Operating System (ROS) produced by Willow Garage. This is an open-source system framework for advanced robot systems.
The presenters plan to give a gentle introduction to the packages and capabilities in this software, by giving a high level overview of their system approach and then narrowing to a few functions which will display the way they have applied ROS to their robot.
