Pre-register for HOPE Number 9

Every two years some of our favorite hackers from 2600 magazine organize the HOPE conference (stands for Hackers on Planet Earth), “one of the most creative and diverse hacker events in the world that’s been happening since 1994.”

HOPE 9 will be taking place July 13, 14, 15 2012 at the Hotel Pennsylvania, across the street from Penn Station in NYC. The HOPE conference has an awesome collection of speakers. The last HOPE was my first, and some of my favorite talks were on Hacking Education by Christina Pei, Cooking for Geeks by Jeff Potter, the perennial Social Engineering by Emmanuel Goldstein, and working with Librarians by Jessamyn West. I was sad I missed Limor Fried’s talk, and of course, that Julian Assange couldn’t make it as the keynote.

You can pre-register now and buy tickets to HOPE 9 for a discounted fee of $100 for the whole weekend.
