Detroit’s Artsy/Techy Studio X wins 5 awards at MakerFaire

Our kindred hackerspace in Detroit DistrictVII/Studio X won 5 awards for their Mannequin Forest (left) at this weekend’s MakerFaire in Detroit. Kristine Diven and Micho Detronik, the makers-in-chief behind the piece were floored by the recognition, and are super excited because this means they will be at the upcoming MakerFaire in NYC! We’ve already been talking about how to collaborate with Kristine (you can see her photography work featuring some beautiful abandoned buildings of Detroit) and Studio X so we can’t wait to see how we can learn from each other and keep making cool art with technology!
